The dynamic two

Of course the pair are coming straight from a Mugler show. Look at them!! They have insanity written all over them though this happens to be an insanity I adore. It's like looking at a new born cult dedicated to blue claws and eyeballs. Where can I sign up?

This makes me happy

This photo is on STREETFSN and gives you a little peep into the street style taken during the menswear fashion season.

I don't really know what to make of this photo but I can assure you this puts a big fat smile on my face. It's shows such personal and bold street style that can't be pulled off by any individual unless their confidence and attitude is well beyond that of an average Joe. I don't know what I like best; the baby angels varsity jacket, the (homemade?) vertical slitted sweater, vibrant & fresh aura radiating off of these lads or that they're all thoroughly enjoying their ice cream cones. It's a real head scratcher this one. I'll have to go with all of the above. Yippy!

Tomboy

Hey hey hey! Just gotten over the flu and I'm back on the market! After what, two days? I know you're thinking, can't she be gone a little longer? Nope. I'll haunt you till the day I die. Just kidding. Not really though. These were taken a few weeks back and I guess it all worked out as planned since I'm still a too little weak to leave the house. So as I write to you, listen to a little bit of Moby, catch up on Resort 2013/Menswear and watch Bridget Jones all at the same time, I felt another pestering blog post about yours truly would make me feel a whole lot better. Wow the flu, just like paradise no? haha. WRONG! It was the worse.

Note: It's always good to invest in a pair of boyfriend jeans. They are easy to dress up or down. They look ravishing with heels and balling with some Margiela sneakers; gold or jean, it's your call.

Black & White

A mixed breed between a little Scottish boy and goth was my calling today. When I woke up this morning I thought to myself, I have to be portrayed like this. While I carried out a calm and cool 50's housewife look yesterday, today is a new day with new beginnings and a chance for new people to heavily shake their heads in disappointment as they stare down this crazy girl on the loose. Are those black leather pants in the climax of summer? Yes people, that is just how I roll.  Who knows what's in store tomorrow? Only time will tell. By the by I found a pair of Calvin Klein shoes that I absolutely adore! They're fantastic.

Pastel me up right nice.

You never realize the things you’ve had in your closet for years will in turn be your best friend again. That is why my motto follows: never throw anything away cause eventually you’ll love it again like you did the first time around. This may categorize me as a hoarder but it works! Truly! I’ve had this pineapple sailor shirt for YEARS and just recently the spark came back. I can say the exact same thing for the kangaroo pouched skirt. My overall message of today is to say there’s a new boss in town, a sophisticated boss name pastel and here it comes ready to take over. It’s new, it’s happening, it’s “sick with it”. So put away your neon my friends until next time around. ah? Ah? The story is complete. Shalom!

Peace Frog

Forest Green Silk Shirt- Thrifted
Floral Jumper- Thrifted
Wrap- Thrifted
Pearl Collar- Ebay
Shoes-Thrifted

Today I decided to keep it simple minus the homeless wrap. I figured the sun will cook me no matter what I wear so I kept in mind light and breezy materials. Nothing too extravagant; no leather today. Maybe tomorrow. In other news, just a few minutes ago a staring contest went down between a scarberian squirrel and yours truly at my kitchen window. This event lasted about half a minute or so. The squirrel won. Just thought you should know it was pretty incredible. For the squirrel, not me. Probably bragging to his little squirrel buddies about his victory. Not coor man, not coor.

I am jack's colon

Oh hey there. I don't think I formally introduced my favorite skirt, Zipper Skirt. huh? huh?? Nice name or what. My regime with this skirt usually means plopping it over EVERYTHING; skirt, shorts, pants, undies you name it!!! Yes, I am really this excited. Also I'd like to share my revived love of toques in an entirely different way courtsey Jil Sander Spring 2012.  Not Jil Sander's Toque, Jil Sander inspired. Just add a mesh to it and it's good old Jil's. Hmmmmmmm am I in for a little project? Generally I wanted an obvious contrast; sweet old little lady being the Japanese printed dress and rebellious adolescent being errthing else.

I NEED THESE.

These 3.1 Phillip Lim Slim Trousers with skirt overlay would be a very essential item to have especially pour moi. Wearing these bad boys would definitely be less of a hassle than adding a wrap around the waist (Seen here) with every single outfit of mine to have that drape effect and hide the butt butt. NEEED THIS.

Fashion photo of the day

Photo: London Fashion Week

You have to understand the message behind this hat in order to find it hysterical. Let me explain. In the fashion scene everyone has comme des garcons coming out their yin-yang. I myself am showered with comme des garcon this and that (in my dreams). I think you get the point. Are you laughing now?

Olympia

Great pain comes with extracting wisdom teeth therefore today's post will be short and sweet or sweaty. You'll get it in a sec. I felt the need to create a sportswear inspired outfit as it happens NOW, sportswear overload with Stella McCartney this and Proenza that all over the big fashion magazines. Here's my affordable interpretation of it all. p.s- enjoy my awful farmer's tan.

Shoes! Shoes! Shoes!

If only I wasn't a poor uni kid.

My poverty makes it THAT much harder to look at fashion. I crave and desire A LOT of shoes in the world with some newly ravishing pairs displayed above. Even though I cringe when I give the Value Village cashier 20 bucks for a full new wardrobe, I hyperventilate at the thought of spending $700 plus on just one single shoe...kidding for the pair but still, it aint cheap looking pretty.

If I win the lottery, you know where my money will go.

Let me introduce you to my new little friends, starting with the white pair at the very top and making my way clockwise:

1) Alexander Wang
2) Versus
3) Miu Miu
4) Maison Martin Margiela
5) Dries Von Furstenberg
6) Carven
7) Acne
8) Oscar de la Renta
9) Reed Krakoff
10)  Isabel Marant
11) Missoni
12) Yves Saint Laurent

All pairs can be found on Net-A-Porter Shoes

Gangsta Barbie

Dear friends. Remember the good ol' days when you would kick, scream and poop on the department store floor of the toy section until you'd get the barbie of your dreams? I know it wasn't that long ago for me. Jokes jokes. Though it was only last year I came across my awesome sesame street suitcase at the top of my closest and opened it to find my dearest barbies all stacked like sardines. I played with them for an hour or so. Okay so it was more like 3 hours. Sue me. The point is Barbie Incorporated never ever ever came up with Gangsta Barbie.  I know the closest thing to Gangsta Dolls are Bratz Dolls but let's face it, they have irregular size heads and collegian. How real is that? I will protest to initiate the production of gangsta barbies worldwide by dressing up as my very own dream Gangsta Barbie and hope it has a Louis barbie purse to match mine. So spread the word folks. We need some Gangsta Barbies. I'd for sure buy one.
