Scarborough Fair!

Living in a noisy and dense polluted garbage smelling city, with yuppies zombies who order caramel no fat lightly foamed soy latte and couples who push their fully clothed pooches in expensive strollers, I wasn't aware of how much I needed the scarborough feel back into my life until I caught myself checking out of Yorkville's Pusateri with flavored water and a cobb salad! Don't get me wrong, I love the lifestyle downtown...the food, the people and so on are just fantastic. Though sometimes it can get a little too...you know. So my mission was to travel through the magical tunnels of the TTC and reach the land of the east, Scaborough! Upon arrival, passing the spaceous plazas full of Food Basics, Dollaramas and thrift stores were a bit overwhelming. The fresh air, the night sky full of stars and the silence, my god the silence, were long overdue! So here I am, a few days in, reverting back to the "thug" life I use to live down in the scarbs. That's right, you don't mess with me or I cut you...CHEEEEYEAH! Hehe, Oh I'm bad!
What I wore: Red leather Jacket- Sandro; Grey shearling Jacket- Danier; Shirt (white collared)- Thifted; Pants- Thifted; Shoes- Aldo Didi

Marni for H&M

They've all done it, from Karl Largerfeld to Victor & Rolf! Now it's time for Marni to take the stage at H&M and shine! As of March 8th, the average person within our society can actually say they've touched something that was made by "Marni" and I am proud to say I fall under that category being a poor student and all. This time is different. Being a loyal Marni fan and all, I want to do more than sneakily stroke the beautiful pieces that are to be displayed, I want it like it is my very own, maybe take to the movies and show it a good time. You know?
These sneak peaks are what I've hoped for. It really brings out the true Marni theme and look, with fun and youthful vibrant colors and prints. To have a visual and audio image of this masterpiece, take a look at the official Marni for H&M video directed by Sofia Coppola. Enjoy! Didi

The big bang!

It's that time of year again! My friends, fall 2012 fashion week in New Yok New Yok is finally here. YEEEHAW! So I suggest you buckle your seat belts and hold on tightly while I take you on this journey of fashion cause it'll get a little bumpy. I'm not gonna lie, by the end of the show you'll probably see life differently; maybe even clearer, for the first time in your life you will see color, shape, form, movement...like a baby opening their eyes for the first time. ahhhhh i'm joshing with you all...or am I? That is for YOU to find out! Let's get crackalacking!
Creatures of wind
These creatures of the wind truly symbolize beautiful monsters! I mean, what is the meaning of life if you don't wear a pepto bismo pink colored jacket that may mistaken you for the hunch back of Notre Dame. Not to forget the beautiful attacher of skirt to pants and vomit green silhouette leather skirt. My dream has finally come true. HAZZAH!
10 Crosby Derek Lam
As usual, Derek lam is always a pleasure to watch! I love how this line portrays the classic yet bold all american woman.
Tadashi Shoji
Kimberly Ovits
I can't describe, I don't know how. Let me try. It's like serial killer gone chic! Instead of hiding their trophies, they expose their victim's hair for the world to see by rocking it around the neck or waist. This is some twisted message Kim, but I like it!!
Chadwick BEll
The first lady of the united states of america always composes herself with poise and elegance, then one day she accidentally electricuted her (ie.note the hair), transforming into a delirious superhero becoming the queen of the fanny pack, no the underworld! Oh such fun! I'm such a nerd.
M. Patmos
Double duty piece that can be a either a shirt or dress, or better still show a little bit of both like what they did here. I also like to note the big sac pockets on the shirt/dress/shress, I like.
Michael Angel
The slits are back my friends...they are living it up, way up! Get it? Ah never mind.
Cynthia Rowley
At first glance this line has a very simplistic form, but looking deep beyond the horizon, you see the fantastic detail of print and material. I felt nostalgic looking at the dress overall, imagining my kid self rocking the jean overall with one of the shoulder strap hooked and the other dangling. Yeah I was a pretty cool kid. I say time to get another, only now it has to be made of 100% cow. This is a cruel world I tell you!
BCBG Max Azria
The long color blocked flowy silk dresses take the stage with few revolutionary "must dos" transformations to the simple classic pieces (example: slits and the furry arms). This is just too good!

So do you feel differently now? Ahhh your welcome!
