NYE suggestions

New Years Eve is approaching and there are many ways to spend the end of 2011 and start of 2012 with family and friends. Some, like me, will want a quiet new year by staying home with family and friends playing taboo and watching arrested development. Others will want to do something active like skate or stand at Nathan Phillips. The university kids will without a doubt go clubbing while those who want a quiet evening out will go to nice fancy pancy restaurants. All of these scenarios require a different style of outfits that were found on Asos. (1)To the club
Black half moon Pailette dress I am absolutely head over heels for this Prada inspired dress. Also, I figured instead of busting out the sequins and glitter that seems to be so common on NYE, go for an edgy pailette embelishment like this one.
Aqua Flapper Structured Fringe Bandeau Dress The white fringed flapper dress encourages wearing occupants to dance until there is numbness in the joints. That isn’t such a bad idea after all of that gained Christmas weight. So in other words, this dress is your gym and it’s peeeeeeeeeerdy.
Aqua cobra rolled kimono hi lo dress Instead of wearing short and tight dresses that barely cover the goodies and tush, meet this gorgeous wide rolled kimono sleeved shift dress. It's very soft, short in some ways, long in others and will for sure catch the attention of everybody on the dance floor. I mean come on, looking like a chic villain on star trek is pretty "sick with it"...I don't know what I just said, but you get the point. (2)To a nice fancy restaurant
Oasis tailored dress with contrast trim So marvelous! so superb! The yellow residing at the side of the creamed color dress is so simply detailed. It’s weird. Looking through frontview at the dress, you only see a simple creamy treat. While orbiting around the sides of the dress, there you have it, yellow as vibrant as the sun shines on through and open your eyes. What do you see now? The walrus. I don't know. This dress is way too cool to describe in words.
Black Neoprene Laser cut Bodycon dress The color is so vibrant with the graphic outlines. For me, I think vibrant red is the new sequin for new years. I want y'all to wear red like it's chinese new years. MMMMMGOY MMMMGOY! The old asian lady in me is finally coming out! Don't feel offended. I one of you!
Oasis Garden Placement Shift Dress With this givenchy inspired elegant wear, you will without a doubt be the bell of the ball. Furthermore, this japanese print enhances the dress beautifully. To a family or house party
Skater Dress in Colour Block The color blocking combination is really edgy and bold. A bonus, this dress is a really comfortable material to wear at family parties if sitting or playing DDR. Since the dress already says a lot on its own, accessorizing isn’t necessary.
Mini Pussybow Shirt Dress with Shirred Cuffs A simple navy blue shear dress with a front bow is always a good option. The fun thing about a one toned shear dress is the amount of layering and accessorizing you can do. Experiment! Wear an ankle length shiny black plastic skirt or velvet maroon wide legs underneath with a Mongolian/tweet jacket on top and a leather cap as the cherry!! OH SUCH FUN! Outside
No Scrubs lace back maxi dress With a dress name like no scrubs lace back maxi dress, how can you not like this dress. Once again I did it with the asymmetry but with little more cassssssssh. Have a little fun by bundling up with layers of wool sweater(s) and transparent combat boots. Loony run wild loony run wild. Kidding! We’re cool.
Stripe Midi Dress with Mesh Insert The stripped dress with horizontal mesh is also pretty cool to work with. I would layer the top part of the dress with shirts and sweaters and keep the bottom as it is. Top it off with exaggerated statement high heel boots that are comfy of course!
Happy new years everybody!!! And I hope you liked. Didi

Not so simple shirt

Over the past weeks or so i've been searching for "the shirt". You all know what I mean. Either everyone has or wants "the shirt" in their own personal form. Generally speaking, "the shirt" is a perfectly simple cut fabric item that you would always revert to wearing when the rest of your shirts aren't fulfilling enough. When you have nowhere else to turn, "the shirt" gives you guidance and comfort like no other shirt can give you in your state of discomfort. So here's my version of the shirt that I found on Rowme.
Overlay design white t-shirt prices found here.
I don't know why or how this shirt came to be "the shirt", but it is perfect for me. Maybe it's because its resembles the attire of a mad scientist or asylum escapee. Be that as it may, it is within budget of a poor university student soooooooo yipppyy!!

Laggard white christmas

Santa was right on time this year but his snowy companion was a few days late. Beautiful. It's vibrant beauty glowed with white simplicity into the inside of my toasty warm house while I was surrounding my brand new christmas items; my box of lego, maroon fuzzy blanket and cup of hot tea. Although, being cooped up in my house for 5 days straight living the lifestyle of a queen while being fed camembert, boursin and smoked gouda, I figured some fresh air could do me some good. So there I went, strolling my front yard...some excersise huh?

While finally noticing the worried stares on the faces of my fellow passing neighbors who probably mistook me for a homeless person, I felt wholesome, complete and fulfilled in every way possible. I believe my work here is done...at least for today. CHICA CHICA YEAH!!!

2012 Pre-fall fashion fiesta!

Guess who's back! back again! Didi's back tell your friends. Na na na na...
Herrro There! Yes, I know it has been a couple THOUSAND years since my last post and for that I am utterly apologetic. Over the past few months, my death of a school semester was filled with memorizing meaningless mathematical equations, going to mind numbingly boring lectures, obtaining minimal sleep and the lack food in my fridge hindered my ability to entertain you all through blogging. BAD SCHOOL! BAD. Now that the wicked witch is dead for about, oh say 2 and a half weeks, it's time too party hardy! In translation, couche vegetation, youtube videos and devour the worst possible food imaginable. Aside from all of that fun, I have only one mission which is to write daily. I promise you, goodies are yet to come. Starting with the 2012 pre-fall fashion fiesta I ecstatically investigated. You can find the pre-fall 2012 fashion shows at http://www.style.com/. Let's begin.
3.1 Phillip Lim

I found this collection to be perfectly simple with a hint of boldness. I mean come on, the transparent bag, the pointy red dorothy shoes, zipper slitted leather skirts, comic book patterned envelop bags and two toned jackets are ingenious add ons to classic pieces. J'adore!

Rag and Bone

The fashion fairy takes a pirate ship hostage, turning all of the hideous toothless drunken pirates into chunky knitted oversized sweatered and edgy leather dressed piratesses. All in all, W-O-W and I need me some colorful studded cuffs!

Missoni

All hail the knit goddess!! I always found long knit sweaters an essential piece to wear, especially in this monstrous weather we've been having. Add yourself some bold leather gloves with fur trim and some edgy boots and your good to go.

Proenza Schouler
Mmmmmmmmmm my favorite, matching skirt and sweater in bold blinding colors. Not to forgot the purple plastic waterproof garments that keeps you dry in moonsoon weather.
Lucky for us!!

Doo.ri

Very white and crisp. I love love love love and want want want! Though for the sake of keeping these ravishing garment pieces white and not into ketchup and oil stained napkins, it's best if I stay within a 3 mile radius from the color. None the less, magnificent!!!

Pringle of Scotland

The color combinations are to die for and just plain right beautiful. Turtleneck after collared shirt after sweater after jacket. Time to experiment? I think so!

Jason Wu

Oh Jason you did it again. What I find most bewildering from this show is the suit skirt and matching parka jacket. It really puts office style on a whole new level.

Helmut Lang

Less is more with the black and grey ensembles. Does anybody else see a darth vader cutout in the dress shirt of the middle outfit?? Hmmmmm.

Band of Outsiders

Very fresh, young and hip. Loving the green flared suit and assymmetrical dress/skirt/space monkey.

AHHHHHH!!! How superb!!
