NYE suggestions
New Years Eve is approaching and there are many ways to spend the end of 2011 and start of 2012 with family and friends. Some, like me, will want a quiet new year by staying home with family and friends playing taboo and watching arrested development. Others will want to do something active like skate or stand at Nathan Phillips. The university kids will without a doubt go clubbing while those who want a quiet evening out will go to nice fancy pancy restaurants. All of these scenarios require a different style of outfits that were found on Asos.
(1)To the club
Black half moon Pailette dress
I am absolutely head over heels for this Prada inspired dress. Also, I figured instead of busting out the sequins and glitter that seems to be so common on NYE, go for an edgy pailette embelishment like this one.
Aqua Flapper Structured Fringe Bandeau Dress
The white fringed flapper dress encourages wearing occupants to dance until there is numbness in the joints. That isn’t such a bad idea after all of that gained Christmas weight. So in other words, this dress is your gym and it’s peeeeeeeeeerdy.
Aqua cobra rolled kimono hi lo dress
Instead of wearing short and tight dresses that barely cover the goodies and tush, meet this gorgeous wide rolled kimono sleeved shift dress. It's very soft, short in some ways, long in others and will for sure catch the attention of everybody on the dance floor. I mean come on, looking like a chic villain on star trek is pretty "sick with it"...I don't know what I just said, but you get the point.
(2)To a nice fancy restaurant
Oasis tailored dress with contrast trim
So marvelous! so superb! The yellow residing at the side of the creamed color dress is so simply detailed. It’s weird. Looking through frontview at the dress, you only see a simple creamy treat. While orbiting around the sides of the dress, there you have it, yellow as vibrant as the sun shines on through and open your eyes. What do you see now? The walrus. I don't know. This dress is way too cool to describe in words.
Black Neoprene Laser cut Bodycon dress
The color is so vibrant with the graphic outlines. For me, I think vibrant red is the new sequin for new years. I want y'all to wear red like it's chinese new years. MMMMMGOY MMMMGOY! The old asian lady in me is finally coming out! Don't feel offended. I one of you!
Oasis Garden Placement Shift Dress
With this givenchy inspired elegant wear, you will without a doubt be the bell of the ball. Furthermore, this japanese print enhances the dress beautifully.
To a family or house party
Skater Dress in Colour Block
The color blocking combination is really edgy and bold. A bonus, this dress is a really comfortable material to wear at family parties if sitting or playing DDR. Since the dress already says a lot on its own, accessorizing isn’t necessary.
Mini Pussybow Shirt Dress with Shirred Cuffs
A simple navy blue shear dress with a front bow is always a good option. The fun thing about a one toned shear dress is the amount of layering and accessorizing you can do. Experiment! Wear an ankle length shiny black plastic skirt or velvet maroon wide legs underneath with a Mongolian/tweet jacket on top and a leather cap as the cherry!! OH SUCH FUN!
Outside
No Scrubs lace back maxi dress
With a dress name like no scrubs lace back maxi dress, how can you not like this dress. Once again I did it with the asymmetry but with little more cassssssssh. Have a little fun by bundling up with layers of wool sweater(s) and transparent combat boots. Loony run wild loony run wild. Kidding! We’re cool.
Stripe Midi Dress with Mesh Insert
The stripped dress with horizontal mesh is also pretty cool to work with. I would layer the top part of the dress with shirts and sweaters and keep the bottom as it is. Top it off with exaggerated statement high heel boots that are comfy of course!
Happy new years everybody!!! And I hope you liked.
