Back from the dead

Hello folks. It's that time of year where I do my best to revive Didi a la mode. AGAIN. I tend to phase in and out of the blog BUT I'm going to make an effort to at least post a few times a week starting the New Year...It's January 12th and I already missed one week. What a great start to the year. A lot has changed since my last visit; I've grown an inch (I like to think so), chopped off all my hair and inherited some new clothing that I'd love to share with you. It's going to be a good year.

Now let's talk fashion. During the holidays, as we indulged in chocolate treats and the worst junk food imaginable as if the world was ACTUALLY going to end Dec 21, pre-fall 2013 shows have been shuffling about and continue to proceed as we speak. There were some shows that were absolutely magnificent and others that were par. I'll share with you some of my personal favourites;

Last Summer Touch

Have you ever wondered why the summer air is a little less suffocating each day? What a good question Didi. Any answers? Me me me; maybe summer is coming to a halt. A dead end. HAZZAH! I'm a Fall girl what can I say? Everybody will oppose me when I say I despise summer. Pretty strong no? So let's spin this around. As I mourn for your loss, I decide to sprinkle you all with a little summer fairy dust. Better? In all seriousness, look at this as an opportunity to pick up some last minute item ideas you can sneak into the very last few weeks of summer or even bring some of these items to the dark side, Fall. Who follows fashion trends anymore anyways? Add a little plaid to the wardrobe, maybe a flaming race car imprinted leather Prada skirt. Go wild like the new and improved Sandy from Grease since I have no doubt in my mind the backdrop for this shoot was taken where Danny and the scarred face guy had their zoom zoom race. Look it up.

Oh I also just want to let you know, I was at ~~boot~~ survey camp for 12 days or so (reason for being MIA) but I'm back; Didi a la mode new and improved.

Dots On Squares

With this muggy weather I felt it was appropriate to write to my fellow readers meaning to all the five people out there who read my blog...Thanks guys. I'm kidding. I LOVE YOU ALL. No sarcasm intended. I've been a little absent lately due to fabulous baby shower that we've planned for my sister Colette. The shower took place this past sunday and now I shouldn't have an excuse to write. So let's keep a tab people.

In other news; this outfit was inspired by dots. Medium white symmetrical dots. It's quite simple really.

Oh and not to forget a little help from all the squares out there. Peehee. It's fun to be on holiday. What does Peehee even mean? Okay. I figure it's about time to cash out now. So smell you later Gladiator! BYE.

Thank you Valentino!

Funny story. I went out like this one day last week and almost died because of the heat. I think I wear impractical clothing in the wrong seasons because I shouldn't; I always want what I can't have and at this particular moment it's black wool sweaters and leather anything. So with this dilemma I face, I try to come up with a solution that I will ultimately benefit from...THEN POUFFF!!! A pair of white jeans and a white tennis skirt smack me right in the face. I couldn't decide which to wear so wearing both at the same time seemed to be the easiest solution. I've always been fond of skirt over pants (SOP) and with a little craving of SOP that day, I couldn't resist. AND boy was I wrong. Let's save SOP for the fall please. Pshhhh. Yeah I really don't mean that. You'll probable see me in skirt over pants sometime next week. BYE.
