Like White on Rice!

My friends, the day has finally arrived when I am safe to say that white garments can be worn after labour day seeing that it was often used within new york/milan/london/paris 2012 fall fashion weeks a few weeks back. I am pleased to note that white is the new black...well at least in my book. There's something pure and refreshing about the color. Something joyous and full of life. And if the lords of fashion say these garments are intended for fall 2012, I sugest you do as they say cause I know what I'll be shopping for this fall. I intend to go against nature and wear white after labour day. This historical moment will be one day passed on from generation to generation by your grand and great grand children...or not. We'll see...

"R" vs "R"

The battle between two completely different worlds of reality and runway. A few months back I travelled to the forbidden city of Etobicoke and explored all of the abandoned malls and theatres that are still standing, almost ready to be knocked down and replaced with 30 storey condominiums in their very spots! On this journey I did the unthinkable; skirt over skirt. While the number of the stares exponentially grew, I came to the conclusion that I didn't claim victory that day, thinking I would accomplish this task of skirt over skirt. I sulked on home looking unpleasantly homeless. Then I came across this masterpiece on style.com and realized that I wasn't alone afterall.

Nightlife

When the night sky is crisp, warm and welcoming, without question I am prone to wander about flailing my arms like a hooligan. Meet Didi...marching my way through the Distillery District ready to boogie. Since this night was so special, I felt as if going in disguise was appropriate. Meet Didi again...cross dressing between a clown and mime.

Casper the friendly ghost!

The weather has been extraordinarily sunny, warm and joyous! For that, I shall take upon a journey I myself took a few weeks back which happened to be on a grey cloudy day...wasn't expecting that huh? I mean realistically these warm sunny days aren't going to last long, so if anything I'm doing you a favor. To the tale! I was swaying down the street when I encountered what seemed to be an abandoned shack. Approaching the structure I noticed it had snakes on the rims of the roof and two heads on both sides of the door. I came to the conclusion that this house had some magical meaning behind it which only wizards and witches can relate to...so I immediately took out my wand and in parseltongue I sung a little tune, realized my potential/raw talent, moved to L.A to created an album and made a lot of money. If only this story were true...
Back to the fashion moral of today: The 1920's housewife leaving her family to pursue her dream as a bagpiper outfit, was inspired by Marc Jacobs fall 2010. With this classic feminine vibe I'm blinding you with, I obviously leave plenty of room for the homeless woman in me, note the "wrap around" the waist. When in doubt, try it because you may think it looks ridiculous...and you are absolutely right but really, what have to go to lose?
