Nightlife

When the night sky is crisp, warm and welcoming, without question I am prone to wander about flailing my arms like a hooligan. Meet Didi...marching my way through the Distillery District ready to boogie. Since this night was so special, I felt as if going in disguise was appropriate. Meet Didi again...cross dressing between a clown and mime.

Casper the friendly ghost!

The weather has been extraordinarily sunny, warm and joyous! For that, I shall take upon a journey I myself took a few weeks back which happened to be on a grey cloudy day...wasn't expecting that huh? I mean realistically these warm sunny days aren't going to last long, so if anything I'm doing you a favor. To the tale! I was swaying down the street when I encountered what seemed to be an abandoned shack. Approaching the structure I noticed it had snakes on the rims of the roof and two heads on both sides of the door. I came to the conclusion that this house had some magical meaning behind it which only wizards and witches can relate to...so I immediately took out my wand and in parseltongue I sung a little tune, realized my potential/raw talent, moved to L.A to created an album and made a lot of money. If only this story were true...
Back to the fashion moral of today: The 1920's housewife leaving her family to pursue her dream as a bagpiper outfit, was inspired by Marc Jacobs fall 2010. With this classic feminine vibe I'm blinding you with, I obviously leave plenty of room for the homeless woman in me, note the "wrap around" the waist. When in doubt, try it because you may think it looks ridiculous...and you are absolutely right but really, what have to go to lose?

Word on the street

Yet another fall fashion term among the four great wonders of New York, London, Milan and Paris comes to an end with the emergence of various new trends, and up and rising designers and models. As you all know with these marvelous shows come spectators and important fashion icons within the industry wandering about ready to be snapped; all beautifully dolled up from head to toe in Prada and Jil Sanders flaunting their golden tickets placed within their transparent plastic totes and nap sacs. Image after image I envision myself with these various pieces that cost more than my rent and tuition put together...ohhh can't a girl dream. Let's have a quick glance shall we;
I'm desperately hoping to find a Jil Sander spring 2011 mesh toque anywhere I can afford it; a value village, Ebay, dumpster? The recent attack of the toques!; worn in a variety of colors, textures and sizes.
The cut of this jacket is beyond imaginable, not to forget the neon Proenza Schouler purse she has tucked beneath her armpit! Mmmmmmm..
So feminine yet so homeless... Put a garbage bag on me any day, I'll rock it like it's 1999.
Why wear an ordinary necklace or bracelet when you can wear fungus resembling jewelry on your ear?
Bust out a Proenza printed long sleeve shirt with a leather skirt, chunky belt and nice fuzzy warm toque. You see the deja vu? Ahhhh you'll catch on..
As I always say, the classic look never get's old...HAZZAH!
Who said fashion isn't about comfort? The bunion resister I call them!
Crazy asylum escapee on the front, hairy monkey on the back. The best of both worlds!
J'adore!
If batman had a wife, she'd were these monstrous beings cause batman can afford Balenciaga with all his dough. How delightful! I hope you enjoyed as I did. Until next time, Didi

Scarborough Fair!

Living in a noisy and dense polluted garbage smelling city, with yuppies zombies who order caramel no fat lightly foamed soy latte and couples who push their fully clothed pooches in expensive strollers, I wasn't aware of how much I needed the scarborough feel back into my life until I caught myself checking out of Yorkville's Pusateri with flavored water and a cobb salad! Don't get me wrong, I love the lifestyle downtown...the food, the people and so on are just fantastic. Though sometimes it can get a little too...you know. So my mission was to travel through the magical tunnels of the TTC and reach the land of the east, Scaborough! Upon arrival, passing the spaceous plazas full of Food Basics, Dollaramas and thrift stores were a bit overwhelming. The fresh air, the night sky full of stars and the silence, my god the silence, were long overdue! So here I am, a few days in, reverting back to the "thug" life I use to live down in the scarbs. That's right, you don't mess with me or I cut you...CHEEEEYEAH! Hehe, Oh I'm bad!
